Designed in Parisian workshops, woven in the heart of Paraguay and handcrafted in Spain , these creations embody travel, emotions and dreams.
This brand was founded in 2017 by Mariela Schwarz Montiel , whose indigenous roots motivated her to create Amambaih . This project was born with the aim of supporting the communities of Paraguay , particularly the Makà tribe, and preserving their traditional crafts. Amanbaih is committed to a responsible approach, using sustainable fabrics, hand- woven by artisans from the Makà community, before being sent to Spain to be made into shoes and bags. If this brand rings a bell, it is certainly thanks to its collaboration with the French luxury brand Chloé in 2022. This was Amambaih's very first collaboration, which chose to partner with Chloé in order to blend the aesthetics of the two brands.
Sustainable materials , such as responsible cotton from Brazil and leathers certified by the Leather Working Group, ensure a planet-friendly supply chain. In addition, the use of recycled cork demonstrates the brand's commitment to eco-responsible production .
Through long-term collaboration with employees, suppliers, artisans and communities, the brand seeks to support women artisans by offering them a work rhythm that allows them to reconcile their professional and family lives.
