Do you know Rusty Thought? This is a brand created in 2002 by Ryo Katori. Initially designed only for men, the brand quickly developed and now also targets women.
The idea of their collections?
Create contemporary jewelry inspired by traditional Japanese patterns and techniques. They are particularly inspired by an ancient technique called "Ohaguro-yaki", used in the past to prevent swords from rusting too quickly. It is this method that allows the jewelry to benefit from this very special patina.
Each jewel of the brand is unique. Indeed, the creators believe in the spirit “Wasi-sabi” which means to accept imperfections because it is “the beauty of imperfect, impermanent and incomplete things. It is the beauty of modest and humble things” according to Leonard Koren (architect and aesthetic theorist).
Rusty Thought then offers you a collection that you will not see anywhere else, with the desire that their jewelry crosses the ages and is transmitted from generation to generation.
