After graduating as a graphic designer from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Charlotte Bourrus first worked on her own and then for various brands before embarking on her own adventure...

Between geography and poetry

To imagine her project, Charlotte Bourrus drew her inspiration from migrations, contemporary history, geopolitics, travel and even guides and stories, universes that have always animated her.

It was therefore in 2011 that The Map, which became "L'Atelier" in 2020, was born. The project begins with the creation of original, colorful and volume maps of the world that reinvent traditional cartography and question the notion of territory and border.

It was then in 2015 that the designer embarked on the creation of her famous globes. Rio, New York, Lyon, Biarritz, Singapore... The Map globes showcase the most beautiful cities in the world, which the designer appropriates to bring them to life using collage and layering techniques. Each globe is unique, handcrafted and made to order in France, and signed by the designer. And so that everyone can recall their most precious emotions and memories, Charlotte Bourrus offers the possibility of having her custom-made globe made, thanks to a dialogue with her and the narration of specific events, references, sensations... .or just one piece of information! The designer will appropriate your words and the surprise will be all the more beautiful.

The Map is therefore an invitation to travel and escape, in universes already traveled or only fantasized...
